Jürgen Fritz was born in 1958 in the Black Forest in Germany. He studied theatre and musicology. 1982 - 1990 he worked as a director, curator and actor, since 1984 as a performance artist. He is a founding member of Black Market International, a cooperation of artists that has been performing worldwide since 1985. He has shown his performances in all European countries, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Asia and Australia. Since 2012 he has lived as a freelance artist in Hanau. Here he is co-founder of the International Performance Association (IPA).
